SUNDAY: Not really much happening Sunday... except you know, an additional 250,000 people are traveling into Dallas to watch a football game! Here's a list of changes you can expect to see around Dallas/Fort Worth for the big game.
The Super Bowl XLV starts at 4pm (pre-game show)/6pm (actual game), so make sure you're set up with tons of beer, snacks, and a comfy The Good Child t-shirt before then!

Quite a week, don't you think? I thought it was a great way to kick off 2011 - hot new releases, fresh faces, and outstanding products all around. THANK YOU to all of those who made anything above happen. Did you have a good week? I sure as hell did!

Atama's Dunny Azteca II Release!

Last night, despite the freezing cold (unusual for Dallas), I attended Atama's Dunny Azteca II Release/Trading Party. As soon as I got upstairs, (Atama is the colorful upstairs space in Centre), I saw a few cases set up for buying. I also was greeted by Josh Romero, the manager for Atama and pretty rad guy all around.

The shop still had a few Show Me the Munny t-shirts from the incredible custom Munny show back in December. Did you cop one?

Now, let's take a look at some of the Dunny Azteca II series!

My friend and day job co-worker, Design By Proxy, and I were the first purchases!

He got doubles of the Dunny Azteca picture just above (on top of the semi-truck). I got the one just below...

The purchase that followed mine made a shame outta me...

This kid, Austin, walked up and bought an entire case!
First one out of the box!

Austin was the coolest little man I'd ever met. He even traded Design By Proxy for one of his doubles!

Design By Proxy was looking for one of those 2Tone Dunny's, but he could not acquire!
After making my purchase, living through others' purchases, and not even wanting to trade anything, I chatted it up with Hance (Centre) and Nic (NTX Hip-Hop).

Nic had some of the "throwback" The Good Child stickers! Check it!

I had a chance to check out the new Centre x New Era caps. ::pause:: I want one of them pretty badly.

All in all, it was a chill evening at the Centre & Atama shops - one I needed. I had a good time checking out the merch, meeting new people (including Illtellect), and bullsh•tting with Hance. By the way, keep a lookout - Centre is getting a new set-up on their floor in the near future that I am stoked about (but, I'm not revealing that). It'd be good to keep your eyes on this boutique in general.

All of you have been waiting so patiently for The Good Child Series One release party news!
Last week, I revealed all of the styles from Series One via the online shop for you. Since the reveal, I've had a lot of great feedback and people trying to pre-order shirts! (Note: the only item available for pre-order is The Good Child x GoodWoodNYC piece). In the mean time, I have been talking with two of my favorite Dallas shops - Centre and We Are 1976 - about doing a small release party with either of them. The good news? Looks like I might be doing a short feature video with Centre and I am officially joining the ranks of some other Dallas artists for a special event at We Are 1976 come February. The bad news? There's not enough time this month to squeeze in the release party at either shops.
But, wait…there's more good news! I don't want to keep you waiting any longer! I am releasing Series One THIS TUESDAY, 18.JAN.11, online only. Also, due to the unfortunate event of, well, no release party event, I have decided to give your pocket$ a break.  For the first 24 hours of the Series One release, I am putting the set on a 25% discount (Note: does not include The Good Child x GoodWoodNYC piece). You can also look for the original The Good Child t-shirt at half of it's original price -  $14.99 - and it will remain at that price regardless of the 24 hour Series One sale.
I'm admittedly bummed about not being able to throw you guys a literal release party this month, but what's happening in February at We Are 1976 is going to be awesome! The group event is still being smoothed out, but We Are 1976 will have all the juicy details for you soon.
Again, Series One will release this Tuesday, 18.JAN.11, at midnight (that's technically the middle of the night on Monday) and all t-shirts in Series One will be on a 24 hour sale!

The Good Child Series One! REVEALED.

Today, the first part of The Good Child Series One became available. The Good Child exclusive GoodWoodNYC necklace was released for pre-orders only. Once ordered, the necklace will be shipped by 30.JAN.11. I’m super stoked about this product! Only 25 will be produced!

Also happening before the end of the month will be The Good Child Series One t-shirt RELEASE PARTY. That’s right. I’m working hard behind the scenes over here to make this party happen. In talking with some of my favorite shops and friends in Dallas, it looks like I’ll be teaming up with some of them in thevery near future, but not soon enough for YOU. So, I’m still going to make this release party a reality - just for you - even if it’s not in a commercial area.

The release party will include free beverages and foodstuffs, and there will be music to keep everything from getting too awkward. The four new styles will be for sale (cash or debit/credit/PayPal only) and I will have on hand one of The Good Child x GoodWoodNYC necklaces for your viewing pleasure (you can still place a pre-order online now and/or before 22.JAN.11). Remember, each t-shirt style comes in a run of only 30 and will never be reproduced!

Always Coming Up ®

The Good Child brand was born in October 2010. Thus, the end of that decade was a hustle for me. …and, I loved it!
The first ever t-shirt was released in November and I've been selling them and handing out a handful for free to serious supporters of local, small businesses.
I also began designing The Good Child Series One - with four new, limited styles - set to release this month. I even added to the line a super secret, special-order-only product that will showcase this Sunday at midnight. 


So, the end of 2010 was a blast and here I am - about to put the brand into full effect. THANK YOU for your support thus far. You will be rewarded through out the new year. The Good Child doesn't end here; there is already a special event t-shirt lined up for production (to release in March). I hope you're ready, Dallas!
